Craig McClenaghan Architecture
Craig McClenaghan is an architect, exhibition designer, artist and teacher focused on cultural heritage.
A UCT graduate (2003), he spent thirteen years at Mashabane Rose Associates, contributing to major narrative projects including the Apartheid Museum, Liliesleaf, Origins Centre, Freedom Park, Mandela House Museum and Market Theatre.
In 2016 he founded Craig McClenaghan Architecture, an award-winning, exploratory practice collaborating with designers, researchers, artists, curators and educators. Based in Johannesburg and Plettenberg Bay, the studio works across museums, exhibitions, schools and residential projects. His piece ‘Letters from the Landscape’ was featured at the 2023 Venice Biennale and received runner-up recognition at the 2025 Scape Awards of Excellence.
